A protege insurance agent will:

A protégé insurance agent will:

Selling, soliciting, differentiating, and negotiating insurance plans that meet the requirements of your current or potential clients’ portfolios are your responsibilities. The objective is to create solid, supportive partnerships to assure business growth and boost our company’s reputation.

During your two years as a protégé agent, you will collaborate closely with the district office and a mentor agent while learning the ropes and achieving sales targets. You will learn the ins and outs of running a small business from a mentor agent who has been carefully chosen for the job. With the help of this program, you can develop the skills necessary to eventually open and manage your own business or join forces with your mentor agent.

The Protégé program’s major goal is to link you up with an experienced agent who has gone through the challenges of becoming an agent. Your confidence and skill level will increase as a result of working side by side with your mentor and developing self-reliance along the way. Adults learn better by “doing it” than by simply being taught everything in a classroom. There will occasionally be classroom instruction, but we prefer to teach you “on the job” so that you can “earn while you learn.”

Duties:

  • Create marketing campaigns to advertise all types of new insurance policies and to promote additions to/changes to current ones.
  • Develop fruitful connections to gather a pool of potential customers from many sources including networking, cold calling, referrals, etc.
  • Consider the needs and financial situation of business or individual clients when recommending protection strategies that will satisfy their needs.
  • Deliver risk management plans to clients in cooperation with their risk profiles.
  • Update your knowledge in your profession and stay informed about new offerings.
  • Fulfill all policy requirements.

Responsibilities:

Foremost, not everyone is suited for this vocation. It’s for self-starters who are driven and goal-oriented and are prepared to devote the necessary time, effort, and resources to developing their own businesses. An agent is someone who appreciates relationships, works hard, and wants to improve both their own and other people’s lives. If you have never considered starting your own business, you might want to spend some extra time learning more about it.

  • A track record of working toward goals.
  • Basic understanding of computers and statistical analysis.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for persuasiveness, influence, and sales.
  • Experience providing solutions that are focused on the needs of the client and building relationships that last

Benefits:

There are several advantages to having an independent business career, including having control over your income, the independence to handle day-to-day company choices on your own, the capacity to manage your time, and permanently ending the need to continuously look for new employment. These are just a handful of the advantages that apply to small business entrepreneurs. Agents in our district who have continuously put in hard effort now earn more than six figures annually.
